Baskets

A self guided Journey of Clay, Nature, and Creativity

The perfect way to enjoy the outdoors while getting creative with clay.

  • Pick up your basket from Dame Errant and find a spot to enjoy the day, you’ll be asked to leave an ID for the basket rental.

  • Read the instructions guide throughly.

  • Explore your surrounding area and find treasures to press into the clay.

  • You have a maximum of 6 separate pieces to create, so get creative! If you end up wanting to make more you can pay for them when you return your basket at $4 per piece.

  • Return the basket before closing hours or next day and pick up your fired pieces after a few weeks.

Here's how it works:

What to make? Here are some ideas:

  • Small plate

  • Trinket tray

  • Wall hanging

  • Ornaments

  • Instructions

  • Two balls of clay

  • Carving tools

  • Hole Punch

  • Rolling Dowel

  • Clean up cloths

Basket includes:

Important:

In the elements the clay can dry quickly so keep it covered until you are ready, you will have plenty of time for carving! Keep the clay covered with plastic if you're side questing.

  • When finished, cover the clay with plastic and a damp rag. The clay is best transported before it is bone dry.

  • Makes sure to take note of the height limit! You can pinch a slight lip onto your slab, but everything needs to fit back into the basket for transport so this is not a building workshop!

While designed as a project for two, since ya’ll aren’t in the classroom and the limit is 6 items per basket, there is nothing from stopping you to invite more and share!

We hope you have a great time with Dame Errant's Clay Quest.
