Is my clay piece ready?

Firing updates go out in our updates tab and out to our mailing lists when we fire.

If students registered online, they will be added to our mailing list, please check your junk mail if you are not receiving updates. The permission slip you took home with you should have the date of your class, typically firing can take 2-3 weeks, but as long as 5. We hold pieces until 8 weeks after the workshop date.

We put this information on the permission slip which is the first piece of paper that students interact with when they arrive.

If you paid for shipping you can generally expect your piece to be shipped the following week after it is fired. If it doesn't to arrive within two weeks after you’ve received notification your piece is fired then feel free to check in.

We do not have the staff to update people individually.

If you do have an inquiry beyond this information, please include - your name - the date of creation - the type of workshop - a photo if possible.

Rude emails are subject to being ignored.

Can I bring wine/food?

No outside food or beverages.

Often aroma therapy is a part of the experience.

We have complimentary tea with every offering, as well as rotating options of N/A beverages to purchase.

Dame Errant is an alcohol free zone unless it is a specific event where it is listed in the title and has a complimentary glass of wine etc. included in description.

Do you have throwing classes?

Not at this time. We are working on getting a few one on one throwing options going in our personal workshop spaces.

We are inspired by presenting access to creativity to the world and have chosen to focus on hand building. Throwing is a fantastic practice that takes some dedication to skill building before intention can lead to an outcome and creative expression can be reached.

Can I bring my Child?

Each workshop has an posted age limit.

Children are welcome to Open Clay up to the parents discretion of their attention and motor skills. They should have the ability to respect the meditative creative space and be careful with tools. 10 years old is the suggested youngest age limit, but this may vary from child to child. They must be accompanied by a participating adult and all members of the party must register. Many of the workshops have age guidelines, please shoot us a message if you have specific questions.

We are dreaming on getting some kid focused workshops on the schedule.

Can my friend/kid/partner hang out with me while I clay?

No. Everyone in attendance must be a registered participant and we do not have a waiting room.

Please refrain from wearing strong fragrances in the classroom.

Many people have allergies or sensitivities to synthetic fragrance and sitting next to or even in the same room as can cause headaches or more.

Please note, we do not offer refunds.

OPEN CLAY SPHERE SESSIONS:

Open Clay Sphere can be reschedule via your original confirmation email up to 6 hours before scheduled start time.

WORKSHOPS/EVERYTHING ELSE:

IF APPLICABLE workshops can be rescheduled for a different date of the same event via your original confirmation email 1 week prior to start date.

Cancelations with 48 hour notice before scheduled event may be available for partial credit towards future bookings. Please email us.

Without 48 hours notice there are no exceptions. If you would like to give your ticket to a friend please email us who will be replacing you.

It can sometimes take us several days for us to process a credit request as we are often in the clay with students and not on the computer.
