Clay Moment
A Unique Unguided Session of Creative Exploration (Previously referred to as Open Clay, Sphere Session)
What will you craft from a sphere of the earth?
We created this offering as a little sanctuary of creative play openly accessible to the community. This experience comes with everything you need to create something unique out of clay, ideal for moments of solace or communal creativity. People often choose Clay Moment as a peaceful retreat, a fun activity with friends, or a meaningful way to create lasting memories.
Bonus: If you cherish what you make, it could last for a thousand years—turning fleeting moments into enduring artifacts.
You are handed a ball of clay and with a variety of studio tools at your disposal, settle in to create and play. Engage with the clay using your hands to pinch, push, poke, and press it into your creation. Whether you’re shaping a whimsical figure or a functional piece, the clay is yours to transform.
If you are a beginner and results-oriented, attending a sphere-based workshop before experiencing a Mud Moment could be beneficial to acquire some techniques. However, a prerequisite isn’t required. Guests are encouraged to come in, read the instructions thoroughly, and embrace the discovery of playing with clay, even if you end up with adorably wonky treasures. There is no formal instruction, but following directions and respecting the space are crucial to ensure the survival of your work through the kiln process.
