Open Clay, Sphere Session
This is a unique unguided session of creative exploration. You are handed a ball of clay and have access to the tools and your imagination.
Find a seat, make yourself a cup of tea, create and play. What will you make with a sphere of the earth?
If you have never touched clay before or it has been several decades, or even if you have a regular practice, we invite you to embrace play and give yourself permission to create.
Come Make Something!
Pinch, push, poke, stroke the clay into your creation.
Ideas - creature, small pinch pot, incense holder, spoon rest, ring dish, let your imagination fly.

Reminders!
Brief guidelines will be provided to encourage the survival of your work through the firing process, it is important that you read through our short guide after arriving. This is not a class, but a space for you to explore your creative and play. Check out our workshops for more hands on help!

Classroom Etiquette and Policy
This is a meditative space.
Please respect the space. We aren’t asking for people to whisper, joy is encouraged but all phone calls and digital noises need to be taken outside. Do not give unsolicited advice.
Firing and pick up
You leave all the glazing and firing to us. Participant will choose from our current glaze options and each piece will get a full dip into the glaze. Turn around time is usually about 3 weeks but can be up to 6. We blast our mailing list and socials whenever we fire explaining what is ready for pick up, pick up walk in’s are available during open clay hours. We post our schedule every month.
Kids
Although this space was built with adults in mind, children are welcome to open clay up to the parents discretion of their attention and motor skills. They should have the ability to respect the peaceful creative space and be careful with tools. 10 years old is the suggested youngest age limit, but this may vary from child to child. They must be accompanied by a participating adult and all members of the party must register.
