Clay Coffin
A Slab Building Workshop
Create a functional coffin box out of clay to bury your enemies after shrinking them!
We will be working with a rolled and cured slab to cut and assemble the pieces of the casket and have time to add our own embellishments.
This creation can be used for storing your favorite trinkets, decorations for the spooky season, or maybe you have some favorite snacks or rituals.
ROUGE IDEAS:
It would be easy to make this a closed-form coffin and cut your designs all the way through in order to create a luminary, leaving access from the bottom or top.
In this workshop, you will be provided with a slab of clay and a template to create the coffin. But if you feel confident in your geometry skills you could create a different shape of box.
AGE:
This workshop is suitable for ages 14 to 100, minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.
VIBE:
Our cozy worktables provide the perfect setting to relax and get into your creative while enjoying a cup of tea.
FIRING AND PICK UP:
Once you are complete, choose your glaze option and leave it with us to fire. After a few weeks, return to pick up your finished piece. We work with mid-fire stoneware and your piece will be dishwasher and microwave safe.
