Clay Workshop

Create a giant tooth out of clay.

Use your imagination to determine what creature this one came out of, can even be human. Because of the nature of clay and the no thicker-than-thumb rule, we will be concaving the top (maybe the monster had a cavity?) which makes this tooth a lovely decorative dish or possibly shot glass.

We will start with a sphere of clay and pull and pinch the form from about a pound of clay.

VIBE:

Our cozy worktables provide the perfect setting to relax and get into your creative while enjoying a cup of tea.

FIRING AND PICK UP:

Once you are complete, choose your glaze option and leave it with us to fire. After a few weeks, return to pick up your finished piece. We work with mid fire stoneware and your piece will be dishwasher and microwave safe.

AGE:

This workshop is suitable for ages 13 to 100, minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.

ROGUE OPTIONS:

Handbuilding from a sphere of clay gives you limitless options, to take advantage of the direction it would be easy to morph this design into a simple legged pinch pot dish.
