Totoro!

A Pinch Pot Workshop

This is a beginner level workshop. We will make two pinch pots and join them together to make a hollow sphere and then add our other features for our beloved Totoro. This is always such a lovely experience with a group of Ghibli fans! This workshop is based on a simply sculptural piece, but if you want to make your Totoro functional, you are welcome to add some holes to transform them into a salt shaker/vase/bottle etc.

We will have some themed music in the room and project Totoro silently for fun, but viewing the film will not be the center of this experience.

Pinch pots can be tricky with long nails.

VIBE:

Our cozy worktables provide the perfect setting to relax and get into your creative while enjoying a cup of tea.

FIRING AND PICK UP:

Once you are complete, choose your glaze option and leave it with us to fire. After a few weeks, return to pick up your finished piece. We work with mid-fire stoneware and your piece will be dishwasher and microwave safe.

AGE:

This workshop is suitable for ages 14 to 100, minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.

ROGUE OPTIONS:

This is a hollow sphere things workshop, easily converted to an embellished egg. We will be starting with a soft sphere of clay so it would be easy to use a different technique and create another character from the Totoro world.
